Everything was clean, and the mom’s coffee was amazing. We had a great stay!

The owner was kind and available if I needed information or anything else. Late arrivals can use self check-in, and there’s plenty of free parking outside. The place looks just like the photos and is only a few minutes on foot from the center. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with a private entrance. Three people and three suitcases fit without being in the way. It had air conditioning and a heat pump, plus a TV. The private kitchen was well equipped, including a kettle and multifunction microwave, and water, coffee, and tea were complimentary. The beds were quite comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and came with towels and soap. It was cleaner than what I’d generally seen locally, though there was a slight musty smell elsewhere, not in the room. The main problem was the hot water, which kept cutting in and out and made showering difficult. The owner apologized and said work was underway to fix it as soon as possible.

The family made us feel very welcome. Our room was big and clean, and the location worked well for visiting the sites.

Auntie looked after the little garden by the entrance and had grown plenty of sweet basil. She picked some for me, and I used it in scrambled eggs, haha. She also welcomed us with two cups of Arabica coffee with cardamom. Later, her nephew came home and chatted with us in English for a while, though we didn’t go to the restaurant he suggested. The room was very clean, and the house seemed newly renovated. The kitchenette had an electric stove and sink, with dishes and pots provided. The bathroom was spacious and had separate wet and dry areas, but the water kept switching between hot and cold, which was uncomfortable. After comparing several places in Madaba, this felt like good value.
