Mussa Spring Hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and you can have tea for free. The bed was comfortable, though on the short side, and the price was reasonable enough that I'd recommend the place. Our double room was clean but old and not very spacious. The hotel is at the edge of the city. The shower taps should be replaced to save water, since getting the temperature where you want it is difficult. I can't give it five stars because the room felt dated.

The owner was friendly, tea was free, and the accommodation itself is basic with a shared bathroom. The big downside was the noise at night. People going to the toilet woke me up, and you can hear everything, so bring earplugs. I'd give it 3.5 stars. It's a handy place to stay before Petra, and the owner is nice. If you arrive by car at night, it felt safe after the difficult drive and the strange people on the way.

A clean, cosy hostel at a low price, right beside Musa Spring. It has air conditioning, hot water, and blankets, but bring your own towels and heater. It's not the place for anyone looking for a luxurious hotel.

This was the cheapest hotel we found near Petra, and the owner or caretaker was really nice. The room was cramped for four people and wasn't very clean, but it was fine for one night. It's by Wadi Musa, near the King's Highway. We only saw the spring after checking out in the morning. Before heading to Petra, we bought water at a shop nearby because it costs more inside Petra.
