I can't think of anything I disliked about this property. The old village atmosphere made me feel as if I were staying up near the mountain top, yet still close to Petra. There are rocks and stones, ancient touches, beautiful curtains and decorations, graceful wooden furniture with carved patterns, and so much care given to every plant and flower. The indoor and outdoor pools are wonderful, and the property looks out over the whole valley and mountains. The fruit plate, Dead Sea mud mask, and sea salt were a lovely welcome gift. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with lots of variety. The chefs did a great job with local dishes as well as international options. There's so much I could say about the place, but you should experience it yourself. Thank you to the kind staff for upgrading me to a junior suite while I was traveling solo. Housekeeping quickly let me in after I locked myself out while filming the morning prayer on the first day of Ramadan. It was cold outside, and you responded fast. The pool staff were lovely too: they brought me towels as soon as I came in and closed the indoor pool door when someone left it open in the strong evening wind. I heard from the museum that the owner is Petra's first guide and comes from a wonderful family. I can see the care in all the tiny details here, and how much heart has gone into making guests happy. My younger daughter video chatted with me and asked for a tour, and she loves the hotel as much as I do.

The hotel itself is stunning architecture, and staying there is an experience. The pool and spa are beautifully designed and let you take in the old village atmosphere. The views stretch across the valley toward Petra, and the free shuttle to the visitors centre meant the 10-minute drive up the hill wasn't a drawback for us. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble, and they communicated brilliantly before our stay to make sure our journey went smoothly.

What really stood out was how the team helped us through a personal issue, well beyond what their job required. They made us feel at home, and the hospitality was unmatched. The rooms were huge, clean, and comfortable, the food was good, and the hotel is just five minutes from the Petra Visitor Center. Simply the best hotel ever!

We especially appreciated Louay, Mouaman and Ahmad, who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Everyone was extremely friendly. Set on a hill with beautiful views, the resort has spacious, comfortable rooms and lovely historical buildings to wander around. Breakfast was delicious, with just about everything you could imagine. We had a wonderful stay.

The food was delicious, with plenty of choices, and the chefs and restaurant staff were incredible. At the front desk, everyone was kind and looked after us. The whole team was cheerful, helpful with every request, and provided exceptional service. Thank you to everyone and the Nawfleh family for everything. I highly recommend Petra Village Resort.
