The owner was the best part of my stay. He was polite and soft-spoken, and went well out of his way to make things comfortable. He arranged very affordable cabs for my travel and gave useful advice for sightseeing that made the trip better. There’s also self-serve coffee and tea in the kitchen at any time, which was nice in the morning or evening. Petra - Wonder of the World is 1.5km away. Hotel Petra Gate was a wonderful stay and great value for money.

It’s only a few minutes by car to the Petra visitor center. The receptionist was very helpful, and the room and bathroom were clean and nice, with AC available. Breakfast costs 3 JOD and can be ready early, she had it prepared at 5.30 am. There’s also a lunch pack for 3.5 JOD if you’re spending the day at Petra. It was okay, though I think you could get a bit more for the price. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The terrace decor gives the property an ethnic charm, and at night there’s an otherworldly view of the ancient Petra city. It’s close to the entrance of Petra. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, and it felt like home. The Phillipino lady at reception was warm and welcoming. During the busy breakfast hours, she did her very best to look after all the guests. I’d definitely return. Love from India.

The view of the city from the terrace is mesmerizing. It’s a beautiful hotel in a very good location, and the Petra gate entrance is about 10 minutes away by car.

The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to help. They even guided me to petra, which made the stay more enjoyable. The service in my room was exceptional.
