We woke up to sunrise right from our bed, then explored those incredible Martian-like landscapes by jeep and camel. The hosts did everything they could to make the day one of the most unforgettable we’ve ever had. Such a magical, storybook place, one we’ll remember for a lifetime!

The dinners were delicious, especially the local zarb, and the rooms had amazing views. Mohammad and his family were so kind, which made staying here the highlight of my whole trip. We went on both the three-hour and six-hour tours, and they were fantastic. Wadi Rum is breathtaking, and I found the local insight shared during the trips really interesting. If you get the chance to stay here, definitely do it!

I arrived after a three-hour drive and just wanted to rest and discuss activities the next day, but the owner wouldn't let us leave without doing one of their packages. He said parking would cost £45 if we declined, despite the listing saying it was free. The packages were overpriced. We were even asked to pay £65 each for a sunset that seemed within walking distance. We had booked a bubble, but were put in a tent instead. The AC kept failing, and it took 12 hours for us to get towels. As we were leaving, the owner took my phone, opened the rating page and said we had to give him 10 stars. It felt almost like a threat: he wouldn't drive us back otherwise. I said I wouldn't rate the place right then, and he started yelling at me again. He also swore at me when I refused to give him five stars. I came to relax and had the opposite experience. I felt very unsafe. Please investigate this owner. He needs an anger management course. This was an awful stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.⟂

For me, staying in the Martian bubble tent was luxury glamping, so I don't understand why Google lists this as a two-star facility. The tent was clean and comfortable, with strong AC, a king bed and warm blankets. The bathroom was fully equipped, everything worked, and the glass wall let us fall asleep looking out at the stars. It was peaceful and quiet in a way that's hard to find elsewhere. The welcome felt sincere, and every staff member was attentive, spoke clear English and showed genuine hospitality. We enjoyed calm evenings by the fire with tea. Dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared and served on time. Both meals cost an extra $15 JOD per person per day, which seemed reasonable given how remote the desert is. We took a six-hour Jeep tour guided by the owners and their family. The price was fixed and listed on their website. They cooked a private lunch for us in a secluded part of the protected area. The open desert, silence and slow pace made it a memorable, grounding experience. We were the only couple there, and the small, personal atmosphere made us feel welcome and valued. There were no crowds or rows of identical tents. Starlink internet is available in the common area, but there’s no signal once you're back in your tent. Bring a book or download what you need before arriving. The quiet is worth embracing. A couple of practical things: the camp is cash only, so bring enough Jordanian dinar for your stay and tips. The ATM at the visitor center charges a high fee. When arranging transport, make sure your driver takes you to Wadi Rum Village for pickup, not just the Visitor Center. I recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, intimate stay in Wadi Rum. The setting is beautiful, the hosts are sincere, and the memories will last.
