Birch Forest Cottage

Just right.

The room was spacious, the kitchen was easy to use, and I appreciated the owner's thoughtful supplies, including eco-friendly dish soap and a vacuum cleaner. The quiet location was lovely, and the supermarket was a 10-minute drive away. The large bathroom was relaxing, but unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn't working. I also woke naturally around 3 AM because there were no blinds or curtains on the upper windows. I think I could have slept longer if there had been something to block the light. It was a wonderful cottage. Thank you.

We visited in mid-July 2025. This is a nice family-style cabin with quite a bit of space. There's a kitchen and a fairly large dining table, and you can barbecue outside. Charcoal is available to buy, or you can bring your own. The bathtub is very large, and there's a ladder in the room up to a loft, though the loft is completely empty. The air conditioning gets quite cool, and there's a heater too. The bed is a bit small: one adult and one primary school student can barely fit, and two adults wouldn't be comfortable. There are lots of insects in summer, which makes for a great outdoor experience. Nature lovers might enjoy it.

I've stayed in plenty of cottages at home and abroad, but I've never had a trip feel this calm and relaxing. The facilities were clean and well looked after, and the quiet setting surrounded by nature made it easy to unwind. The manager was pleasant and polite, and helped us out in lots of ways. There's a large park within walking distance, so people from small children to older adults can enjoy the place. I also had many conversations with the other guests, and each day brought fun encounters unlike my everyday life. My whole family loved the trip, and we've decided to come back every summer vacation!
