I found the buffet dinner better than breakfast. The room had tatami and a private bath, but sleeping on the floor felt quite hard to me, especially if you have back pain. The private open-air tub was only so-so, since bamboo covered the whole area and the only view was the sky. I was also surprised to learn that strawberry picking costs 2000yen per person including tax. I wish that fee had been mentioned when booking and at the front desk. Without that information, it felt like a scam.

The outdoor Onsen was my favorite part. The stay was very nice, and for the price it offered good value. The rooms are a bit aged, as you'd expect, but they were clean and pleasant. The food was served buffet style, so the specialties weren't especially high quality, though everything I tried was very good.

The onsen was incredible, with lots of beautiful baths and restorative water. Our room was spacious, clean and a delight to spend time in, and the facilities were excellent. We stayed three nights and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The staff were all helpful, and breakfast had a delicious buffet with plenty of options. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the area.

We could walk to the morning market in the local village. The hotel itself was lovely, with a nice onsen and a fantastic breakfast. I only wish we'd stayed longer.

Our river-facing room had a great view. The location and price were both good, and the rate felt reasonable. The onsen was nice, and the buffet food was delicious, with crab and shrimp. There’s also a farmers market within walking distance in the morning.
