The rates are pretty affordable, and it’s just a short walk from Akashi JR station. The staff were nice, too. My one complaint is the public bath schedule: women can use it from 1500-2030, then men from 2100-2400. It’s closed the rest of the time.

I’d suggest bringing an eye mask. The thin curtains let the dawn light in, especially since the bed is right under the window and light comes through the gaps. Blackout blinds or thicker curtains would help. The artificial onsen has separate hours for women, 3-8:30, and men, 9-12. I found the price a little above what I usually pay, though it seemed fair for having the onsen. The hotel itself is clean, with excellent facilities, and the staff were excellent. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the station, and there’s a free drinks bar.

There’s no car parking, and I wouldn’t book if a delayed flight could mean arriving late at night. The hotel was open, but nobody was working inside or answering the bell, so I was left without a place to stay.
