TAKASHI T.
A very classic Japanese minshuku, with a wooden floor and staircase, a wooden table, and futons stored in the closet. It feels just right, without seeming old-fashioned. The bathroom and toilet are separate, and the large public bath stays open until 10 pm. Despite its name, the bath only fits around two people at once, with two showers, so it doesn’t get too crowded and feels almost private. There’s room to park four or five cars. If you’re not used to driving, though, I’d suggest bringing a kei car or other small vehicle.
