GOLDEN MILE Hostel

Staying at the Golden Mile H was such a lovely experience. I had a wonderful time, and it left a lasting impression on me.

The downstairs area looked fine, but the stay itself was pretty bad. The staff came across as posers and weren’t friendly, which felt like a sharp contrast with the people I met elsewhere on this beautiful island. The room had a futon, a washing machine (?), and a TV, but it wasn’t properly furnished. For the same price as regular hotels nearby, I expected at least a table, chair, bedside table, closet, and the other basics. The WiFi didn’t work, and there weren’t any towels. When I went downstairs to ask, since of course there was no phone in the room, they said I’d have to rent them. It’s basically a backpacker hole priced like a comfortable hotel. There are much better options nearby for the money. If you need something cheap, Tegue Tegue gives you much better value.

Really friendly and helpful staff, a nice room, and a good location. The beer was excellent too ;-) Arigato Gosaimas!
