Piano Amami

We spent two nights here in mid-October, and I can only describe the experience as the best. A huge banyan tree and a stylish coral-decorated fence caught our eye as soon as we arrived. The main building, set farther back on the property, had glass walls that showed off the owner’s great taste inside. The rooms are converted container homes, with a Japanese-inspired connecting setup and sliding-door entrances that give the place a lovely balance. Each room having its own sink and toilet was a real plus. There’s only one bathroom, but it and the dressing room are spacious and clean. That evening, we had a BBQ in the garden among the coral stones. The quiet and scattered lighting made it feel special. I’d love to come back with several families next time.

The garden BBQ with friends was a highlight. We hired a professional service, and the food was plentiful and tasty. Having them handle the cleanup made it easy. After dark, the lit-up banyan tree looked almost magical, and the garden lighting made the atmosphere even better. PIANO AMAMI is about ten minutes from the airport, with an ocean view and a magnificent banyan tree welcoming you at the entrance. The chic black exterior feels comfortable for couples, families, or anyone. The rooms and living area were clean and comfortable too. I stayed here during my Amami Oshima trip from October 14th to 16th, and I’d definitely choose PIANO AMAMI again.

With its privacy, the villa works really well for a group trip. It has four lovely twin rooms, and you can also have a BBQ in the garden. The stylish living room has a system kitchen, musical instruments, and a huge natural wood table over four meters in height. This modern-design villa was renovated from an old Japanese house and faces the sea just off National Route 58. It’s conveniently close to the airport, bus stops, beaches, and supermarkets, with a large banyan tree nearby.
