For the price and location, this was a really nice hotel. It was my first time in Amami, so I wasn't sure where to stay, but this place is centrally located near one of the island's few international ATMs and some delicious restaurants. The staff were really friendly, and I enjoyed the Japanese-style breakfast too.

A clean, comfortable business hotel in Naze. The Japanese bath was nice. Breakfast was pretty basic, but there was a range of food. Wi-Fi was available in the rooms.

I stayed in a non-smoking twin room, just a short walk from Yanigawa Street, Amami Oshima's busiest shopping district. There are lots of good izakayas and local restaurants around there, so I could enjoy the island's food and drinks late into the night. Convenience stores and supermarkets are nearby as well, and the room was perfectly adequate for a night's sleep. When I opened the door, I could smell cigarette smoke even though the room was meant to be non-smoking. I asked to change rooms, but the hotel was fully booked, so they offered to use ozone to clear the smell instead. The cigarette odor disappeared afterward, and I appreciated their help. (20260207)
