The staff were lovely, and the rooms had plenty of space.

The food was the main reason we came, and the Noto oysters were rich and flavorful. We left full and happy with the oyster-focused winter plan, though breakfast was just average. Our elementary-school-aged child barely touched the meal for children because it was mostly adult dishes. Pasta, curry, or fried chicken would have suited them better. We spent one night in a Japanese-style room with our young child. The facilities are clean, but the building feels dated, and there was just one EV charging station. It’s a national health resort, so don’t expect the polished services, fancy touches, or luxurious hot springs and meals of a typical hotel. You also have to lay out your own futon. Amenities are sparse, so women especially may want to bring their own lotion and toiletries. Room wear is samue or yukata provided in the lobby, and there weren’t any children’s slippers in the room. If you’re after an inexpensive place to stay and food is the main draw, this could work well. Those looking for luxury may be disappointed.

Dinner and breakfast were both really satisfying, and our room was clean. The breakfast staff were so friendly and helpful, sharing tips on local places to visit. They also gave the children candy, which was a sweet gesture. There weren’t many yukata, which was a little disappointing, but there were plenty of samue, and they’re very comfortable. Since it was Halloween, we borrowed costume sets and took family photos. Renovations were going on in the building, but we didn’t notice them at all. 😅 A good choice if you want to take your time over a delicious meal.

There was plenty of space in the room, and it was clean and comfortable. Having the toilet and sink in separate areas made things easy to use. The food was tasty overall. There were so many dishes that the tempura wasn’t really needed, and it was a shame it wasn’t crispier. The Noto beef would have been even better as steak. I’d like to stay again.
