The hosts were so welcoming and generous, and really went out of their way to make our stay lovely. The house can host up to nine people and has beautiful architecture, mixing traditional and modern design. It was renovated from a traditional Japanese house and kura, so you can enjoy those features while staying there. There are some fun cultural experiences included with the stay: dressing up in Japanese wedding kimono or Hakama (Samura outfit), learning to wield a katana (Japanese sword), taking time slip photos, and watching a professional Shamisen player perform Tsugaru Shamisen. Afterward, you can learn and try playing it too. The experiences are complimentary, though the Shamisen performance is included only for stays of at least two nights. With a one-night stay, you'd need to pay if you want to hear and play the Shamisen. The owner also makes delicious vegan food. You can rent a BBQ and pick up ingredients from local supermarkets. I really enjoyed staying here and hope more people get to discover it! 😊
