Atami Korakuen Hotel

Kubota, one of the employees, made the stay a five-star experience for me. He was exceptionally attentive, went above and beyond, and made sure my requests and needs were met. Thank you again, Kubota, for making it so memorable and positive. The hotel is beautiful, in a great location, and has a wonderful infinity onsen overlooking the water.

The rooms are spacious and modern in both buildings, with a minimalist feel and strong water pressure in the full-body spray showers. Atami Korakuen Hotel has one wing facing the mountains and another with ocean views. It’s set in a quiet part of Atami’s coast, and the price feels surprisingly low for the comfort, style, and scenery. Even a rainy morning looked cinematic from there. Fuua Spa, inside the hotel complex, was the standout for me. One entry is included with your stay, and the infinity hot tub overlooking the Pacific felt like something from a five-star ryokan. The calm, stylish spa is a place where you can spend hours soaking in the steam and looking at the ocean. The hotel’s regular onsen is clean, quiet, and relaxing, but it felt like the understudy next to Fuua. Breakfast was just fine, with the usual eggs, grilled fish, miso soup, and pastries. It’ll fuel the day, though it won’t stick in your memory. The hotel isn’t perfect, but for the price it gets a lot right.

A good place to stay, though there’s not much nearby. It’s a 7-minute walk to 7-eleven. The spa onsen was good, but I didn’t try the public one.

The hotel is big, with two connected buildings. Our traditional room had an ocean view that looked brilliant in the evening. The onsen was large and had lots of cleansers and creams to try. The dinner and breakfast buffets were underwhelming.
