Hotakajo

The hot spring is awesome, and the place is so beautiful!!!

The staff were very courteous, and their service made the stay especially pleasant. The building itself is magnificent and gives you an unusual experience. It’s so big you might even get lost, lol. A fond memory.

I visited on my own and was really pleased with the attentive service. The bath is small, but it has a lovely atmosphere and let me relax completely. I also enjoyed a tasting of Nagano sake, with four varieties ranging from northern Nagano to Suwa. The explanations were precise. At first I thought the person explaining them must be a sake enthusiast, but it turned out they were very studious and don’t drink much themselves. I was truly impressed. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

The inn’s interior felt luxurious and Japanese-style, hard to believe it was a renovated private villa. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. I’d definitely like to stay again. I booked for the night before a mountain climbing trip and needed to check out at 5am, so I called to ask about skipping breakfast and having dinner only. They were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you for being so kind!
