Simple Stay Beppu

Good value, clean, and set up with what you need: an electric kettle, toaster oven, two-burner gas stove with fish oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine, and air conditioning. There's one double bed, plus futons you can lay out in the “dining room.” I stacked all three single futon mattresses together because one on its own felt a bit hard on my hip. Kit Kats in the fridge and a bottle of sake were a lovely touch. Free bikes are available in the entrance hall until 7pm.

The rooftop was a nice bonus, with furniture, a relaxed setup, and a decent city view. The apartment-style hotel room was clean, functional, affordable, and roomy enough for at least eight people. The bus stop is a four-minute walk away. If you're walking around, it's a bit far from the city center, perhaps 35-45 minutes to the shops and nightlife, though walking lets you get a closer feel for Oita. You'll need a bus to reach the onsen, and I think the red bus is a good option.

This apartment has pretty much everything for daily life: a washing machine, stove, microwave, chopsticks, spoons, knives, pots, pans, forks, bowls, refrigerator, portable Wi-Fi, and lots more. Highly recommend!

For a low price, this is a nice apartment with all the facilities you need. I'd recommend it for families.
