The room itself was fine, but the stay involved repeated management problems. The door lock broke and left me stuck outside in the heat. As a foreigner in Japan without a local phone number, I could only communicate by email, which was very slow. A local friend called the property and got the door code over the phone. Otherwise, I would have been waiting even longer. My friend came by twice, once to help speak with the repair staff and once for less than 10 minutes before we left together. There was no overnight stay or party, but the rules felt unfriendly to foreign guests. The paid parking was mishandled too. Close to 10 p.m., I had to go door to door ringing other guests’ bells and asking them to move their cars out of my paid space. It was stressful and embarrassing, and it wasn’t my fault. With the extra parking charges, this place isn’t cheaper than other guesthouses. The repeated administrative problems made the stay not worth it. I’ll look elsewhere in the future and don’t recommend it, especially for foreign guests without a Japanese phone number. There’s no elevator, so good luck if you have a lot of suitcases. The property also forbids visitors in the room under any circumstances. Even someone staying less than 10 minutes to help translate or wait during a repair can prompt an email warning that you broke the rules and may be fined. That feels rigid and unrealistic for travelers. The outside of the property didn’t look like the photos, and it wasn’t as close to the beach as the white building shown online. That may be somewhere else with the same brand name. Please call the police and get a lawyer. Also, make sure you speak with the guests from rooms 2-3 where I found them, to check whether it was really in the parking lot or not. 🙄 I don’t even mind the host posting my real name now, because other travelers can see what really happened and contact me for the videos and pictures I took. Their CCTV “will be not working when things happend,” apparently. We’ll see who’s lying. ☝️🤣🤣🤣 If you can see this, leave a ❤️. Don’t fall into this trap. Google didn’t remove my review or the other similar ones because they’re real. The property waited until after my bank and Booking.com asked for my money back before acting. 🙄 I also reported the property to Google Maps for posting my real name without permission. Thanks to the host for doing that, since it gives me even more evidence for complaints to Booking.com, Google Maps, and my bank. If anyone else had a similar experience, I’m sorry, but we aren’t connected to one another at all. ☝️🤷♀️ That shows this place really has a problem. I changed the rating, and if there were no stars I’d choose that. If you have a good credit card company and are honest about the evidence you send your bank, they may approve a chargeback. My bank returned my money, and this place is under investigation by Booking.com because it said I never checked in while charging me the full amount. What a great place. 👏👏👏 My review isn’t meant to argue with the host. I’m sharing what happened so future travelers know what may happen here. Everyone can decide for themselves, but I think guests deserve to know the risks before booking. It’s interesting that the host only started responding to low ratings, even ones from one or two years ago, after my review. That reaction shows how sensitive they are to honest negative feedback. I’ll never choose this place again based on my actual experience. 🤷♀️
