Chino Station Hotel

The staff were thoughtful and helpful. There were three of us, and they put us in separate rooms along the same corridor, so we could keep in touch easily without disturbing each other. The onsens and Wi-Fi are free.

I tried the onsen here. It’s small and basic, but clean.

The first-floor parking is free, and there’s a large communal bath included. Oddly, the covered parking on the second floor by the lobby costs 800 yen. There was very little information or explanation about the stay. Sheets are changed every four days. The fridge is right by the entrance, which is awkward, and it doesn’t get very cold or let you adjust the temperature. There’s no outlet by the pillow, so you’ll need an extension cord.

The room was clean and plain, but perfectly adequate. It came with a kettle and one green tea bag, plus a toothbrush, razor, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, yukata, bath towels, and hand towels. There was no hair dryer. Neither dinner nor breakfast was provided. The station is nearby, and the staff were very friendly. When I called the day before, though, I thought their tone sounded a little rough. It’s a convenient location.
