Hotel Classe Stay Chitose

The room had plenty of space and even a microwave, which was really convenient. The bathroom was a little small, but not too bad. The hotel's in a handy spot, with a bus stop right outside, and self checkout was easy.

The biggest plus for me was room size: the single was around 16 square metres, compared with 12-13 at the other similar-priced business hotels I stayed in, Wing International Chitose and Chitose Daiichi. I'd come back only if having a larger room mattered most. There are some practical perks: checkout at 11, free UCC coffee in the lobby from 3 to 10 pm, a microwave in the room, and a fridge with a separate freezer. The twin kitchen room has a washing machine, but the small twin doesn't. Still, for a relatively new hotel, the carpet was soiled. The mattress and pillows were very soft, and I sank into them, though that's a matter of taste. The unit bathroom was tiny despite the larger room. Amenities were bare basics, with off-market toiletries instead of Pola or DHC. There were outlets in the nightstand but no USB jacks, and a small bedside lamp would be welcome. In bed, the only light came from the ceiling; you adjust brightness with a wall dial, which didn't feel very user friendly compared with a remote or bedside lamp. The stylish temperature panel is centrally controlled, with no switching between heat and air conditioning, and functionally it isn't much different from the Low-Medium-High dials in older places. There's no free airport shuttle, though airport buses stop right outside. Keep that in mind if you have bulky or lots of luggage. The place also feels minimal, without basics like a wall or alarm clock, memo pad, or pen. I booked after seeing positive reviews on Google and Japanese booking sites, and chose it because it seemed to be the newest nearby property within about 100 metres as of November 2024. For context, I'd also stayed in single rooms at Wing International Chitose and Chitose Daiichi, which were in a similar price range. The lobby coffee comparison: Daiichi's is available 24 hours; Wing International has a 100-yen machine-brewed option or free instant coffee.

The location is really nice, with lots of places and restaurants nearby, and it makes a great starting point for a Hokkaido trip. The service was awesome too. Every staff member had a smile like winter sunshine. ❤️🇯🇵 🇹🇼

New hotel and good value, with rooms larger than average for Japan. There's a big fridge, microwave, table and chairs, and other basics. Breakfast starts at 7 am, so get there right at 7 because food may run out. There are lots of Seicomart food items, maybe because the hotel and Seicomart are the same company.
