The room had plenty of space for two, especially by Japanese hotel standards, and the shower pressure was much appreciated after long days exploring the city. At check-in, the staff recognized my Titanium Elite status right away and provided the benefits. Breakfast covered both Japanese dishes and Western options, and it met my expectations. The hotel is great, and the location is even better. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The business center was a highlight for my boyfriend, particularly because it had a coffee machine. I only used the gym once; it’s small, with very limited equipment, but fine for a quick workout. We stayed three nights and had everything we needed to be comfortable. My boyfriend is a Titanium member, so breakfast was complimentary each morning. The food was simple, but we were happy with it and enjoyed starting the day that way. They couldn’t upgrade our room, but we had a great stay and would gladly return.

For less road noise, choose a room facing away from the street. Ours was quiet and comfortable even though the hotel is just two streets from Ginza’s main shopping and dining stretch. The buffet had a great mix of Japanese and Continental dishes. Our room felt plush, and the staff were courteous and exceptionally helpful. It’s a classy, well-located option in the heart of Tokyo for business or leisure, and I’d highly recommend it. The location is fantastic! :-)

The lobby feels spacious, especially beside the AC hotel next door, and check-in was quick and warm. Breakfast was pretty standard. Our room was comfortable and relatively roomy, though smaller and less modern than the one at AC. It had CNN, with most other channels in Japanese. I personally liked the bathroom setup, with the shower and bathtub together and the toilet in a separate cubicle for privacy. Courtyard sits at the edge of Ginza. The immediate area isn’t especially exciting, but a 5-10 minute walk gets you to the start of the shopping belt; Tsukiji fish market is in the other direction. Kyoto Ramen Morry Ginza is on the premises and really good. We went twice, though you have to enter from outside the hotel and may need to queue at peak times. There’s also a teppanyaki restaurant that seems popular. We spent five nights in Tokyo in Dec 2025, and this was our third hotel, including the Marriott AC next door. Overall, it’s a decent stay, and I personally preferred this Courtyard Marriott to the AC.

The airport shuttle stops right in front of the hotel. That was a plus, but it didn’t make up for a stay that felt overpriced, cramped, and below par for cleanliness and service. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I felt the property fell short of even basic Marriott standards. It costs more than nearby Sheraton properties, yet the service gap is obvious. GM Hiroyuki Mori, I didn’t submit the survey in time, so this is my response to the one sent by email: your team is simply incompetent. My room was very small and poorly maintained, with noticeable dust that caused frequent irritation. Cleanliness was below Japanese standards. Breakfast was decent, and the staff there were polite, but the menu didn’t change over four days and quickly became repetitive. The service felt inconsistent. Staff were attentive with Japanese-speaking and Western guests, while interactions with others seemed transactional and dismissive. The concierge was practically nonexistent: requests were sent to the front desk, where staff showed little initiative and asked few or no follow-up questions. Later, the help I got was limited to booking restaurants that didn’t require reservations. The main advantage of asking staff was the language convenience. Before my stay, I asked for help with restaurant reservations. Nobody asked for details or offered assistance unless I used overpriced third-party booking sites. That was a stark contrast to Sheraton properties, where concierge support is standard. Communication through Marriott Bonvoy chat was just as frustrating. Stella, an English-speaking staff member, was polite in person but cold and unhelpful in writing. Blaming “misinterpretation” felt disingenuous. The only person who showed genuine effort was an elderly gentleman, despite the language barrier. There’s no lounge, just a small common area on the lower ground with free coffee. For a Courtyard by Marriott, I expected basic hospitality, but mostly encountered indifference and minimal effort. Check-in was underwhelming. I got no meaningful upgrade, just a bed-type change, and Marriott Bonvoy status seemed largely ignored. Early check-in only became available around noon, and I had to ask before they offered my welcome gift. I should seriously consider reporting this oversight to Marriott Bonvoy CS. At checkout, I left my ICOCA card behind in the room card sleeve. The front desk team didn’t spot it or contact me proactively, but still made me verify it was mine before returning it. Other hotels would have reached out if they found it. I then had to pay for delivery myself. Westin Sendai’s concierge helped make the process easy and handled requests even outside my stay dates. The entire m team needs to learn from Westin Sendai what quality service means. I took a while to write this, not because I didn’t want to, but because I needed time to process such a frustrating stay.
