Kuranoyado Matsuya

My group of six had a great stay here. The wooden cabin felt cozy, and having both a kitchen and an outdoor tub was a real plus.

We were 14 and had no trouble staying here. There’s an izakaya and a supermarket close by, and hand towels, bath towels, toothbrushes, and other basics are supplied. The cottage is right by the main road; after parking, head to the front desk, where they’ll walk you through how everything works.

We were three families, ten people in all, and everyone was happy with the stay. Each family gets its own cottage, and the kids especially liked the little outdoor bath. The rooms have fun details like small windows and glass flooring. They also seem to offer barbecues on site, though we didn’t try one.

The children loved having room to run around in this charming, spacious, clean storehouse-style villa. We went with three families, ages 2 through the 60s, on a weekend in late October 2023. There’s an indoor bath and a small open-air one in the rooms, both usable any time, plus an outdoor BBQ area if you bring your own food and seasonings. The spaces are semi-private, so you shouldn’t expect total privacy. It’s better suited to close family or friends. We paid around 80,000 yen, about 10,000 yen per person. There were hardly any insects, and a supermarket nearby makes it easy to buy BBQ ingredients on site. Bring children’s sleepwear and toothpaste, since those aren’t provided. You’ll also need to lay out the futons yourself.
