The owner made a real effort to cook and serve us, and he was very nice. He may be the second or third generation running the family business. The room felt nice and historic. We couldn't see Mt Fuji directly from it, but the owner left us with very good impressions and memories. The food was presented beautifully, though the cooking could still improve.

The owner put a lot of heart into the food, which you can see in the pictures, and it tasted awesome. He also drove us to the ryokan and took us back. That was half an hour of his time he didn't have to spend, and we really appreciated it.

Sakura Dining's food was especially good. The place is old, but well maintained, and lovely.

We could unwind away from the busy parts of town, with the lake nearby and a very peaceful feel. Dinner was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, just what you'd expect from a place calling itself Kappo. The sake and rice were so good we nearly ate too much. After dinner we had fun playing table tennis, and I appreciated being able to bathe when we arrived, after the meal, and again in the morning. Thank you.
