I was surprised by how sophisticated Noboriska’s facilities were, and the Fuji view and simple, pretty garden were lovely. I’d booked one of the more expensive hotels on this trip, so it felt like I’d missed out a bit. One thing that could improve the bath experience would be a simple yukata for guests to wear on the way there. Getting here is the main drawback. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, and I couldn’t find the right transport connection. I’m not sure whether the hotel has a shuttle, but if it does, making that easier to find would help future guests. It’s a lovely place with good facilities and room to improve.

We spent four days and three nights here, booking two different rooms at the Main Building. For the first three days and two nights, we had a Mt. Fuji view from the third floor. Since the heater is centrally controlled, we couldn’t adjust it ourselves, and the room felt too warm. We turned on the humidifier and left the window slightly open overnight. We slept alright, and that solved it for us. On the final night, we were put on the second floor in a room that supposedly had no Mt. Fuji view. To our surprise, we could still see the mountain from the window. The temperature felt balanced, and we slept straight through. Both rooms were clean and spacious, and all the staff were nice and accommodating. I loved the onsen, especially the outdoor one. I was often there alone and had it to myself. The hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station, with lots of restaurants, a mall, and Off Book shop nearby.

Our stay hurt the Mt. Fuji part of our trip. The rooms were uncomfortable, the staff were dismissive, and the location was inconvenient. I wouldn’t recommend it. Even with nighttime temperatures down to -3°C, our room was unbearably hot. The only advice we got, over and over, was to turn off the heater and open the window. Airflow was poor, and the little window barely helped. When I asked for a fan, one staff member laughed in my face. Another helped right away, which made the inconsistent, unprofessional service stand out even more. There’s nothing notable nearby, and getting places means a long walk to Kawaguchiko Station or taking taxis regularly. If all you want is to see Mt. Fuji, a day trip or bus tour from Tokyo would be much easier and less frustrating than staying here.

The hotel was quiet, clean, and convenient for traveling around the Mount Fuji area. My room was comfortable and well maintained, with what I needed for a pleasant stay. The calm atmosphere made it a relaxing place to stay at THE NOBORISAKA HOTEL.

The rooms and bathhouse were clean, and the room service was amazing. We also barely heard any noise, and Noborisaka Hotel is in a great spot. If we return to Mount Fuji, we’ll book here again. 👌🏻
