Guset House Seidou

The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in anywhere in Japan, and I really loved my three nights at Guesthouse Seidou. It’s well placed near Mt. Fuji, with free bicycles for getting to nearby restaurants and the 7-Eleven. The washing machine and dryer both worked great. The owner was very kind and quick to reply on Instagram. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in the Fuji area.

We got around the area on the free bicycles and managed to see all the beautiful spots in a day. The host was easy to reach on WhatsApp, always responsive, and very kind. The guesthouse was clean and cozy, with a fully equipped kitchen, plus toast, jam, and butter provided for breakfast. Having both a washing machine and dryer was another handy touch. We loved our stay and are really grateful. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fuji! 🌿🏔️

We couldn’t see Mount Fuji because of the weather, but staying here was still totally worth it. It’s a typical Japanese home in a nice, traditional-feeling neighborhood, and it had everything we needed. The host was attentive and very kind, with thoughtful little extras among the amenities, including a razor and a hair tie. I have long hair and sometimes lose mine, so I really appreciated that. Highly recommended.

After our climb, Sato welcomed us back and we got to relax over coffee before heading back to Tokyo. We could see Mt Fuji from our room, and the bikes were amazing, with free bike rental too. The house is beautiful and the service incredible. Sato and his mother do so much to make it feel like home. This is my favourite place I’ve stayed anywhere in the world, and I’ll certainly come back one day. Thanks so much for the good energy :)
