The rate was a good deal, and the rooms had great views and seemed renovated, although some of the layout was odd. It's a three-story hotel on top of a small mountain. The worst part was the smell: in the morning and evening, grilled meat and fish from the first-floor dining area near the entrance to the large public bath on the third floor drifted into the bath area and even along the room hallway. Parking is underground, with only a staircase up to the first floor and reception.

This place feels stuck in the 60s, including the amenities and language support, and it hasn't been renovated. The rooms and corridor smelled, and the staff were very unhelpful. We asked at check-in if we could eat at the hotel restaurant, but they pointed out noodle bowls without mentioning they were only available after 9pm. My parents and I went down for dinner and were then told we couldn't eat there. It was impossible, and the hotel was not flexible. It's old, isolated, at the top of a steep incline, and there are no restaurants nearby. We ended up having a delicious meal at a yakiniku place nearby, then needed a taxi back. I wouldn't recommend staying here. If you have a car and are desperate, maybe consider it. Otherwise, leave it in the 60s where it belongs.

The view was nice, even though the bath is small. The facility was clean, and the especially friendly service seemed ideal for families with kids 😊💛.

The room was clean and had enough space, and the food was tasty, with the usual Japanese dishes. The hotel sits on a hilltop, reached by a narrow, winding road, and the turnoff is easy to miss. There were lots of older guests coming for the baths and looking forward to the food.
