February 5, 2026 On my Fukuoka business trip, I found the location handy, within walking distance of Tenjin and Nakasu. The room was clean, with high ceilings, and I could relax there. The amenities were just right and all provided. October 29, 2016 I came to Hakata with my daughter. The best part of breakfast was the Hakata mentaiko.

The food was simple and had a homemade feel, and I was happy with it for the price. It changed from one night to the next during my stay. The room was spotless, though the building itself is a bit old. I’d have preferred bottled water to the cooler in the hallway, and there wasn’t any ice beside it. I also wish barcode payments were accepted. The air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted very precisely, which was another drawback.

The hotel feels old, but the coffee shop at the back left of the entrance has a lot of impressive touches from its owner. Even in the Tenjin area, it’s a quiet place to spend some time, and the service at the coffee shop is excellent. ☕️
