I thought this was a wonderful hotel until checkout. The three of us brought seven pieces of luggage to the front desk, and staff said storing them would cost over 10,000 yen. I was really surprised, since we were checking out that morning and nobody mentioned this charge when we checked in. I don't know how common this kind of policy is in Fukuoka, but it seems unusual. Because of what I felt was an unreasonable luggage policy, I don't think I'll stay here again.

On October 7, after my post about the October 2 check-in, hotel management responded in a way that addressed the issues and had a good tone. I felt they genuinely cared about the customer, so I revised my scores. My six-night stay was otherwise uneventful, and housekeeping kept my room clean every day. The hotel, room and corridors were well lit, which is good for seniors. Reception staff were generally responsive and polite. Perhaps that first bad morning was a one-off. I'm already planning another trip in March 2026. Hopefully the rates will be acceptable, and my wife can join me in a bigger room. My October 2 arrival from the airport was at 10 am. The counter staff were friendly, checked my passport in advance and asked me to return around 12:35-12:45, since regular check-in was at 1 pm. They offered to take my large luggage. I came back at 12:40 as instructed and was abruptly told to wait until 1. At 1:05, I tried again. A different staff member asked for my passport and repeated the whole check-in process. It felt unreliable and inefficient, with unnecessary duplication. The morning staff's instructions weren't followed by the afternoon team, and I was sent back and forth. The staff seemed robotic and focused only on procedure, with no flexibility or customer service. Spoken English was extremely poor, so I had to use Google Translate. Of the two afternoon staff, the one who eventually checked me in was better and wasn't rude like the person who'd told me to return at 1. I sensed hostility and avoidance when they were expected to speak English. With mobile translation available, that behavior felt unwarranted. Reviews of Green hotel Annex were generally positive, but my initial experience felt the opposite. I saw an elderly Japanese-speaking couple being spoken down to while I was checking in, so I wasn't the only one who seemed mishandled. I've been treated better at Miyako, Clio Court, JR Blossom and Richmond, all in the same area, and I'd be reluctant to use this hotel again. Hotel Green Annex hadn't lived up to the favorable reviews. I hope senior management takes note, as you've already had an unhappy long-stay customer.

The room was clean and tidy, and the housekeeper was very active. I had enough floor space to open a large suitcase and still walk around. The hair dryer really impressed me, and the shopping voucher for a convenience store exceeded my expectations. The hotel is right opposite the station, useful for both transport and shopping. Service and security were good. I'd recommend staying here to friends.

For a single room, it was quite large compared with other hotels. The big desk was handy, I liked the modern hair dryer and having two types of pillows, and there's an ice machine on the 7th floor. It's close to Hakata Station and the bus stop for Fukuoka airport, just a two- to three-minute walk even with a large suitcase. They provide one bottle of water a day if you ask the front desk when choosing 'only amenities needed.' There's also a ¥500 voucher per night to spend at the nearby Familymart. A little pricey, though similar to other nearby hotels. I stayed three nights and would come back to Fukuoka and stay here again.

The front desk was friendly. Rooms are small, but the street is quiet and the station is very close.
