Hotel Iori

We had a private bedroom, two beds in the living room, and two toilets and a bathroom. The kitchen came with a full set of utensils and cookware, and there was even a smart TV for the kids. For a family trip, this hotel has what you need, and the location is good. Worth the money!

The rooms are spacious and match the description. It’s an unmanned facility, but they send detailed check-in and checkout instructions. There’s no parking on site; the car park across the street has the rates shown. There’s construction going on right now, so it’s noisy during the day. Family mart is nearby, though Hakata Station isn’t very close.

The room looked even better in person than in the pictures, and it was surprisingly large. Lots of food options nearby, and Hakata Station is about a 15-minute walk, which worked well for our train travel around Fukuoka. Check-in is self-service using an iPad with instructions, so it was manageable and took about ten minutes. You also pay the tax at check-in, so have a payment method ready. A great find.

We could do laundry in the bathroom using the drying mode, which meant packing only three days’ worth of clothes. The kitchen was handy too: we kept some fancy drinks in the fridge and cooked meat to go with microwave rice on a cold, rainy day when we didn’t feel like going out. There were four beds, two in a bedroom and two by the living room, plus two toilets and sinks, so nobody had to wait. The place was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Maybe I was just too tired from walking every day to tell! For our family, the location worked well: 10-15 minutes on foot to Hakata Station, a minute to Family Mart, and six minutes to a 24-hour supermarket. It might be less suitable for older people.
