It’s cheap, clean, and in a good spot, so I can see why it works for budget travel. Still, my stay was confusing and a lot more trouble than I expected. I had to call staff twice during check-in because I didn’t understand parts of the process, and I saw other people looking confused too. Even after getting checked in, I wasn’t sure where I was meant to go. I went straight to the sleeping pod room, then found out I needed slippers. There were no slippers, shoe box, or directions there. They were in the locker room, but I had to go back down to the lobby to figure that out. A simple instruction to put your bags in the locker first could have prevented the whole detour. I wonder if whoever designed the minimalist setup ever spent even one night here. The upper bed was awful. Maybe I should have asked for a lower one, but climbing up there seems suitable only for a healthy young adult. The bed is just a single bed, and your belongings go in a locker, which gave me some safety concerns. It was also a hassle to go to another floor for my things, then change back into shoes to go outside. The lounge is very dark, though at least there’s Wi-Fi. I expected there might be hot water for a cup of noodles, but there were no facilities at all, not even a place to wash my hands. And it’s the first elevator I’ve ridden that swayed this much. Is the low price worth all that extra hassle?

I got a decent deal on this capsule hotel, and there were some nice parts to the stay. The other guests were friendly, the showers and bathrooms were good, and the staff were attentive even though I hardly saw them. I could leave my luggage before check-in, and fresh towels and toiletries were provided each day. The beds were kept tidy, and the place was otherwise well organized. My capsule was spacious, though the bed felt a bit hard. Free earplugs by the 9th-floor elevator helped me sleep. The main inconvenience was that the Type-C chargers in the men’s capsules on the 3rd floor didn’t work. Moving to another capsule didn’t fix it, so I had to charge my devices in the common area on the 9th floor. I also saw a few small cockroaches coming out of the plants. The kiosks only opened at 3 p.m., and between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. both the lockers and capsules were off-limits. The location and price are great, but without those advantages I might think twice about staying again.

The lounge is on the 9th floor, with at least 30 seats, power outlets, quiet, and even workstations. Everything was very well organized: check-in and support, daily deep cleaning, fresh sheets and towels, and free earplugs for snoring neighbours. They provide what you need, and it’s so cheap. The capsule is necessarily limited in space, so you may need a moment to get used to it, but the facilities are clean and high quality. There’s also separation from the women’s area for safety. I love the concept and wish it existed everywhere. Thanks for the thoughtful setup and on-site support! One small note: the capsule has a Japanese outlet and a USB port, not two USB-C ports as some might think. Bring an adapter to bed.

I was in town for a concert, so everywhere else was booked and this place was available, though at a very high rate. Under normal circumstances the night would have been only ¥4000, which is amazing. You need to reserve, and I booked online. At the unmanned reception, I showed my passport and reservation details at a self-service machine and got a card for my locker and floor. The process went smoothly. My only complaint was that the capsule was so hot I struggled to fall asleep, though I felt great when I woke up.

The pods were too warm and noisy for a good night's rest. The bathroom was dirty, the floor sticky, and the walls stained, so the place clearly wasn't well maintained. The showers were fine, nothing special. The whole stay felt impersonal. Check-in was through a machine and QR code, with no human interaction. They also charge for a key you have to return at checkout, and the fee isn't refundable, which makes no sense. Staff were no help, just pointing at signs. For the price, there are much better options in Fukuoka with actual hospitality. I definitely wouldn't come back.
