Plaza Fuyo Hotel

It has a simple, traditional feel, almost like staying in a Japanese apartment. The location is great too, within easy walking distance of two subway lines and lots of restaurants.

Watanabedori station, exit 1, is only a three-minute walk away. The staff were friendly, there were lots of amenities, and the small kitchen had a microwave and utensils. I had a lovely time here.

The rooms are larger than average and everything was very clean, though it's not a luxury hotel. What made the stay especially nice was the staff, who were incredibly kind and helpful. Great value, and I'd come back.

There are restaurants all around, so the kitchen is optional, though the room does have one. It's centrally located near transport, and our air-conditioned room was large and comfortable by Japanese hotel standards. The full queen-sized bed suited us westerners well, and the bathroom was spacious. Guests get free coffee from 7 to 11am. Parking across the road costs 1500 yen a night; the front desk will reserve a space, and you pay at checkout. The price felt fair, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely return on our next visit.
