I visited Fukuoka last June and was really disappointed with smart hotel. The check-in instructions were unclear and didn't tell us that the check-in desk was somewhere else. It took 15 minutes to walk there from the hotel. The receptionist said baggage storage costs 500 yen per item because the hotel already charges a really low price. But other hotels at the same price have better service and cleaner rooms. This wasted travelers' time. I won't be back.

The place was very clean, and with toddlers it was about a 7-minute walk to the JR station. Daily Yamazaki, a 24-hour convenience store, is only a minute away. There's a washing machine, but its drying function didn't work. The stove and plates were provided, though there were no pans or pots. Keep in mind that the reception and the hotel are in completely different places.

Generally good, and the furniture was clean. Just be aware the registration office is a 20-minute walk from the hotel, and direct communication with the office isn't available.

The registration office is far away. The room has an oven but no pans, so the benefit of being able to cook for yourself is lost.

A handy little place that feels cosy.
