I stayed in mid-November, and for a solo traveler this place seems ideal. It’s cheap and well located, which is what you expect from this type of hotel, so I have no complaints on those points. I had a curtained room, with little privacy and no soundproofing, but that didn’t keep me from sleeping. There weren’t many people there, and otherwise things were fine. The thing to watch for is bedbugs. I saw them, and I wasn’t the only one, though I didn’t get bitten.

The location is great, but I was really disappointed by how the early checkout was handled. I left a day early, and the male receptionist said I could get a refund for the unused night by contacting Agoda. Agoda checked with the hotel, then told me the hotel would not allow a refund. So what the receptionist told me was a lie. I’ve now left Japan and can’t contact the hotel for help. I thought Japanese service was top notch, but that wasn’t true in my case. Also, despite the name, this hostel has no spa or sauna service.

The location and service were great, but there were bed bugs in my first room. They moved me and offered to wash and dry my clothes for free. I didn’t find any in the second room.

The room was easy to book and the price was good. A well-located place with decent accommodations.

The capsules were much roomier than I expected, almost the size of a single hotel bed, and the location puts you right in Fukuoka’s lively nightlife area, lol. The problem was a false fire alarm around 1 a.m. Everyone had to evacuate, only for it to turn out to be nothing, which made the service feel poor.
