Smart Hotel Hakata 2

This was two years before COVID-19. The hotel was very clean and felt just like home. It would work well for a small group, and it's near the train station.

It was clean, and getting to the train and bus stations was easy. A nice place for tourists. I'd recommend it.

Small, but great.

The facilities were about what the price led me to expect, and the place was quiet. I couldn't get online, though, because I never found the free Wi-Fi password. Ask for it at check-in. A few minutes' walk away are Lawson, 7-Eleven, Ministop, and a 1000 Yen Shop (nothing to see). I went in the evening and the warehouse was empty, but apparently shipments arrive early in the morning, so that may be a better time to go. One thing to know before arriving: although the app showed Hakata Station as a five-minute walk away, check-in was actually at Yoshizuka Station. I only glanced at the listing before checking in, and thanks to that I ended up getting a lot of use out of the hotel! Hakata Station is about a 20-minute walk, or you can take a taxi or subway. I remember the taxi costing 1000 yen and the subway 230 yen. A taxi to Fukuoka Airport is quicker, and the price difference isn't that big. Take your accommodation into account when heading to Hakata Station!
