The quiet location was nice, and there's a Family Mart supermarket right next door. The room itself is large, though the toilet and shower are still the usual small Japanese hotel size compared with the rest of it. A few things to know before booking: there is no check-in counter here. You have to walk about 1 km to Residence Hotel, behind Nikko Hotel, to check in and get the key. There is no elevator either, so big suitcases have to go up and down the stairs. No matter how many nights you stay, getting a fresh set of towels or even a pillowcase means paying 500¥ and making a phone call to request it. Room cleaning is only done on your checkout day, and you also have to pay 1,500¥ separately when the booking is finalized. Daily cleaning costs extra too. If you stay more than two days, what happens with the room, towels, and pillowcase?
