We spent a great day at Teriha as two English-speaking tourists. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt completely welcome. There are lots of comfy places to nap, the restaurant food is quite good, and the outdoor pools in a rainstorm feel magical. Between bathing, eating, and lounging, you could easily spend the whole day here. I’d recommend going on a workday between 10am and 5pm to avoid crowds. It’s also a nice way to pass a day with jet lag or a hangover. Thank you!

You could easily spend the whole day here, with computer rooms, a library, restaurants, and plenty of places to relax or sleep. Towels and spa clothes are provided. I especially liked the outdoor pools, which should be even better as the weather cools, and the outdoor sauna with a herbal scent. There’s also an ice bath, a bath at normal pool temperature, and a salt sauna that was an interesting experience. The spa facilities and changing rooms were fantastic.

I spent nearly two hours in the onsen and could have stayed much longer. There are several pools and saunas, and the facilities are second to none. It costs a bit more, but the full price also includes the flat hot stone saunas on level 3, which are well worth it. Really good spa, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I went with my Japanese host family and friends, and really enjoyed the baths and the food options afterward. The location is a little difficult to get to, but regular buses run to Hakata station. As a foreigner, I’m used to people staring at Japanese spas and onsens. When I start a conversation, it often turns into a nice chat. Just remember that this isn’t meant or considered rude.

The manga and lounge area was great, with lots of cozy spots to lie down and read. Cushions, blankets, and lounge chairs are available, and there’s wifi too. The baths come in different styles and temperatures, but the facility feels a bit cramped, so I’d go early or later in the day. The stone spas were relaxing and effective, though the rooms had a slight odor. If your feet are sensitive, remember to use the large towel they give you at entry because the floor gets too hot pretty quickly.
