The onsen was first class, with plenty to choose from: three different sources, indoor and outdoor baths, a sleeping bath and a half-sleep bath, plus a sauna. Dinner's steak was superb. The buffet had a moderate selection, but everything I tried was high quality, one of the best I've had at an onsen resort hotel. I stayed in a sora room, which has been recently renovated, and found it really comfortable. I'd stay more often if they changed up the food more.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with the choice of tatami or Western-style rooms, and every room has a great view of either the city and mountains or the river and mountains. We picked this place because it's close to Hachiman Shrine, where the Iizaka Kenta Matsuri was happening. It's also an easy walk from Iizakaonsen station. The buffet has lots of Japanese and Western options, and the staff were friendly and kind. There's a HUGE gift shop, plus an arcade, karaoke room, and an onsen the whole family can enjoy. I'd highly recommend it for kids and for a stay here.

We’ve visited Hotel Juraku several times for the hot spring, and it makes a great day trip. On one visit we rented a spacious rest room after lunch, which was perfect for a short nap. The lunch buffet had plenty of choices, drinks, and desserts. The onsen is clean, with baths at different temperatures, but the outdoor one can fill up quickly on busy days. Outside there's a garden and waterfall, and there's a sauna too. The hotel also has table tennis, an arcade, a few shops, and massage services. It's a warm, inviting place. If you're in Fukushima, I'd recommend visiting and exploring the local community too.

The beautiful buffet, tasty food, river view, and very kind staff were all great. It can be a bit complicated if you don't speak much Japanese. The front desk is on the 8th floor, not the ground floor, and check which gender the public bath is assigned to, since that changes. Most buffet items are included, but beer and spirits cost extra, around 2000 yen? There's a convenience store nearby if you need anything. The streets around the hotel are narrow and tricky, and give you a feel for what an Onsen town is like.

The place looks good and the onsen was nice, but parts of the hotel smell of smoke and there is mold in several areas. That won't be good for anyone with allergies. The food was nothing special. They had plenty of everything, but nothing really stood out.
