We managed to fit four 29-inch suitcases open in the space, and four of us stayed there comfortably, two adults and two older teens. It’s not a large place, so it wouldn’t suit anyone wanting room for young kids to run around and play. For a group of stopover travellers, though, I’d highly recommend it, especially at a very reasonable price. The house is clean, new, and cozy, with everything we needed: a small oven, microwave, stove, and washing machine. It’s a wooden-built movable house, not a container house, and is registered for emergency use in case of an earthquake. The location works well if you drive, with many restaurants a few minutes away in town. I was a little uneasy after booking, since only a few places for four people were left in Furano. I tend to think, “bad things normally left to the last,” but checking in was a very pleasant surprise.

The beds were comfortable, and cooking was easy since crockery and utensils were provided. There was plenty of parking, and Ningle Terrace and Furano Cheese Factory were nearby. I like the container hotel concept. It was clean and the amenities worked well, apart from the TV remote, whose battery was leaking and which wouldn’t work.

The tablet made it easy to call staff, who were extremely helpful with arranging taxis and other things. It’s an easy walk to the mountain or into town. The layout is efficient, with a kitchen and small dining table. The water was hot, the pressure was great, and it was comfortable for two, or for a group that doesn’t mind feeling a little squeezed.

We visited in summer, but this looks like an ideal spot for winter skiing, and we’ll definitely come back. It’s close to amenities, and the house next door has three cherry trees full of red fruit.
