We could soak in the bath with the sound of the brook nearby and a sky full of stars above us. The night sky was amazing, and we were even allowed to use the gravel garden as a dog run after dark, which kept our Weimaraner and Pointer relaxed and happy. This was such a good place to stay with several large dogs, and we’ll definitely come back. Meals were brought right to our room, so we could take our time eating without leaving our dogs at home. I’d recommend the food to anyone who likes tangy flavors. After breakfast, we walked through the nearby tunnels and along the riverside path. Seeing a family of eight wild boars was thrilling for both us and the dogs. We also enjoyed hearing the owner tell us about the history of the former Imperial Palace in the middle of nature.

It was very quiet and relaxing since there were no other guests. We had our two dogs with us and stayed in a villa on the grounds, while the building with the thatched roof is the restaurant. After breakfast, we got some background on the place and suggestions for walks. Just remember to bring your own facial cleanser, lotion, pajamas, drinks, and other things like that.

The stream outside the window was beautiful, and we’d like to come back in spring. We had the whole house to ourselves, so playing the piano late into the night was no problem. It sounded wonderful, and we could play as much as we wanted. It isn’t as luxurious as a high-end hotel, but the room and bath were clean, and we spent the day relaxing. There were no other guests besides us, and we were surrounded by nature.

We had a large dog and a medium-sized dog with us. They settled in quickly, and we watched a Netflix movie together in the living room that night. The rooms were spacious, and there’s a dog run right in front of the entrance. There’s also a great walking area near the inn, so we got in lots of walks. We had breakfast and lunch. The game pasta and whitebait pizza were delicious, and staying in a cultural property was a special experience. If you’re coming in winter, bring warm clothes for going between the buildings. I’d especially recommend it for people traveling with dogs.
