A little dated, but the room felt cozy. Free parking, late-night ramen, and a great breakfast were all highlights, and the service was good too.

For a solo traveler like me, this was just right: clean, quiet, spacious, reasonably priced, and in a handy spot that’s neither too close to nor too far from the station. Honestly, I even wished I could live here. It’s an ideal place for me to stay.

The front desk service was great, with staff who were very helpful, but the rooms were awful. They’re very old and need modernizing. The toilet is so jammed against the door that I have to sit sideways. When I arrived, I spent ten minutes cleaning mould off the shower hanger and exhaust, and the bathroom fan wasn’t working. I paid a lot online, several times more than booking in Japan. This was the most expensive hotel of my holiday, and I expected more from the room.

The room cost less than other nearby hotels, but housekeeping needs improvement. There was dust on the table and bedside storage, and brownish liquid marks on the walls.

It’s an affordable, decent place in Hakodate. A little old and not especially modern, but if you’re on a budget, you should be satisfied staying here.
