WPU hotel was a good way to keep costs down, since hotels around Hakone can be pricey. The room was clean, and we watched the sunrise from it. Staff were really nice, and the other guests were friendly too. Breakfast was nice, and I enjoyed the onsen. It’s right outside Gora Station, with easy connections by bus, train or cable car. After checkout, we used the luggage delivery service to send our bags to Hakone Yumoto.

The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were nicely decorated with soft, comfortable beds. We had a nice surprise finding an onsen in the hotel. We really enjoyed our two nights here, including the breakfast, which had a good variety and tasted fresh.

Very clean, with a nice onsen and top-level accommodations. Breakfast was very good too, especially the scrambled eggs. The main drawback is morning noise if your room faces the Main Street. The sound isolation isn’t great, though they do provide earplugs.

The dinner tasted good and there was plenty of it. Staff were professional and accommodating. The hotel is well placed for visiting Hakone, and the bedrooms are very comfortable, especially the ones with a private onsen. The walls are thin, though, so it can get a little noisy. Light sleepers might be disturbed.

The hotel is right outside the train station, which was very convenient. I stayed one night during my Hakone trip, after a truly awful hotel the night before, so I was glad to find this place. My room was spacious and clean. The onsen was clean and nice too. I had a shared bathroom, which I’m not usually keen on, but it was clean and separated by gender. Breakfast was good. I recommend staying here in Hakone.
