We arrived quite late, but the staff still accommodated us after check-in time and set up the futon for us ahead of time as requested. The hotel is definitely remote, but the service was amazing. I came with my whole family, including my two elderly parents. I’d recommend it if you’re after a new ryokan experience in Hakone.

The food was good, though the restaurants seemed really short-handed. Kou san was polite and helpful, showing my family of nine to our rooms and answering our various questions. The onsens could be improved with more products to try and opening hours that extend beyond midnight.

Mr. Hu made a significant difference during my stay. He communicated in Mandarin and coordinated with colleagues to resolve my problem, going above and beyond so I could continue working remotely in U.S. time zones. His professionalism, genuine care and dedication left a strong impression on me. The hotel is fortunate to have him, and I hope this feedback helps his performance record. The futon was laid out for the night while we were at dinner, then put away during breakfast. I found that detail especially impressive. We loved staying here, such a perfect place to unwind and experience a traditional Japanese ryokan.

There’s a nice golf course right next to the hotel, so I guess golfers will love it. It’s a golf and hot spring resort, with a very nice hot spring for relaxing. Getting there means driving along a really curvy mountain road.
