The room was lovely and comfortable, with nice amenities. The WiFi didn’t work, but I had my own connection so didn’t bring it up. The staff seemed very helpful, so I’m sure they would have sorted it out. It’s an easy 10-minute walk to a bus that goes to Hakone, the ropeway, and sightseeing cruises.

The house was spacious, attractive, and had a kitchen. Check-in was easy, just follow the instructions, with no in-person reception. Staff were friendly when I asked for help with the washing machine. We had a great stay.

For the price, this was unbelievable value, especially after being in Tokyo. It felt like having a villa to ourselves, with a bedroom upstairs and a lounge downstairs. There are two bathrooms, keypad entry, and complimentary snacks and drinks. The bed was comfortable, two singles pushed together, and the spacious bath was just what we needed. It’s quiet too. A couple of small drawbacks: the TV is on the small side, though still usable for evenings when Hakone shuts down earlier than Tokyo. The shower head is oddly placed and doesn’t adjust, which makes showering awkward if you’re over 6ft. Thanks for a great stay!

The villa was very clean and well looked after, with soft, fresh bedding that made for a good night's sleep. It’s two floors, with two bedrooms, a bathroom and toilet, and a small living room downstairs. It should fit a family of 4-5 people comfortably, and there’s private parking on site. A welcome pack of drinks and sweets was a nice touch, and online check-in was easy. Good value overall. You’ll want a car, since public transport in that area isn’t great. Also, there isn’t a proper kitchen for cooking, so don’t plan to prepare meals; 7eleven and familymart are nearby. There’s barely a place to eat either, since the living room is set up more for TV and family time than meals.
