We had a car, so the location worked really well for us. If you’re relying on public transport, check that it suits your plans. The rooms were large and traditional in style. The private onsen was perfect, we could relax comfortably there and didn’t feel a need to go anywhere else.

We used the outdoor baths, which were a short walk from the hotel. They were private and clean. Since they’re outdoors, it seems unreasonable to expect the water to be completely free of debris. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the inn made us feel like we were visiting a family home. It’s a nice little ryokan in a beautiful, quiet town, a welcome change from the busy cities on our vacation. I’m not sure why some reviewers complained so much. It was close to perfect.

The rooms were comfortable and a good size, and I liked the private onsen. The location is handy, near both the train station and bus stop. Just be aware the stairs are a bit steep, which makes carrying luggage difficult.

We were completely happy with our stay. The building is older, but the ryokan feels really cozy. Our traditional room was comfortable and nice, and the shared areas were clean too. The host was kind and helpful. Thanks for the experience, I hope we get to come back someday :)

The outdoor onsen was really nice, though the indoor one had a smell I found quite uncomfortable. Since the baths are private, you can enjoy them with tattoos or with family or a partner. The bus stop is just 60m away. I was a little worried after reading so many bad reviews, but the inn is actually nice. It’s a traditional Japanese inn with free futon, yukata and kimono, and there’s an air purifier in the room. The staff are friendly. We love this place.
