There are several room types, and it works well for a group of friends who want to stay and hang out. We had board games, karaoke, and even Majong to keep us busy. Breakfast is simple, with cereal, milk, juice, toast, and spreads, and you can do a little cooking yourself in the kitchen if you bring ingredients. The lodge is tucked farther into the woods, but they gave us free rides to and from nearby ski resorts, restaurants, and hot springs. The staff and service were excellent, and the place felt cozy and homey. If you're lucky, you might spot the local "lucky charm," the Japanese Antelope, right outside the kitchen window. We had a wonderful vacation here, and I'd highly recommend the lodge to my friends.

Our snowboard coach Jadon was patient and very professional. He taught us for two days, and we enjoyed every minute of the lessons, even though by the end we were exhausted and wanted to keep snowboarding. The trip was wonderful, and I'm so grateful to both Jadon and Haku. We brought our two children to Lodge Q in early 2019. Haku, the hotel manager, made us feel at home and treated us more like friends than customers. On a very cold New Year's Eve, he even drove us to the ski field at midnight to watch the fireworks. They were beautiful, and that became one of the highlights of our trip.

Getting to the slopes was easy, with daily transport from the lodge to the resort. Breakfast was included too, a nice surprise. The customer service was excellent.

We came as a group of 12, and everyone slept comfortably and had a great time. The facilities were amazing, and our hosts were incredibly friendly.

It was peaceful and quiet, and seems suited to solo travelers or small groups. It's not easy to reach, though. Some staff speak Chinese.
