That sauna was lovely.

We had a six-bed cottage with a piano, which we found on Jalan, since there were six of us. Our late-April stay was on a sunny day before Golden Week, and the place was surprisingly quiet. Everyone left full after the plan with Joshu beef steak, and we enjoyed the fairly roomy large public bath. The front desk and restaurant staff were great. The stink bugs were the tough part. We figured there wouldn't be many at that time of year, but quite a few had gotten into the cottage, and it seems hard to keep them out. They'd come back no matter how many we tossed. They had insecticide, plastic bags, duct tape and other things to deal with them, but eventually we just got used to the smell and had to tell ourselves not to notice it anymore 😅. Finding the car entrance from the prefectural road was tricky too 💦.
