The room had wonderful views, and the public bath was a refreshing treat. There was fresh coffee and tea at the hotel, too, and I enjoyed the restaurant's food and generous breakfast. The area was quiet and had a nice feel to it. I arrived early, and the staff kindly arranged a taxi for sightseeing and looked after our luggage until we came back to check in. After checking out, I realized I'd left some personal items behind. I was already elsewhere when the hotel called to let me know, then sent the items to me at their own expense. They were so helpful, and that really impressed me. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely come back.

There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The downside is getting there: the hotel is quite far from the train station, and the nearest bus stop is over a 10-minute walk away. The natural onsen was superb. This is the first Route-Inn I've stayed at that I can remember serving drinks after a bath.

I've stayed at more than 30 Route Inns while touring Japan by bicycle. I keep choosing them because the quality is consistent from hotel to hotel. No complaints.

We brought our rental car for a one-night stay in July 2016. The area doesn't have much around it apart from the large car park, but the price was great value. We liked our room, the Japanese dinner and the hot tubs.

The baths were nice, and both dinner and breakfast were good. The problem was the room: we'd asked for non-smoking, but the hotel was full and put me in a smoking room instead. The smell was so strong that I woke up with irritated, bloodshot eyes.
