The countryside setting is lovely, and the night sky full of stars was beautiful. I did get a good rest, but I’m still bothered by the extra 150,000 yen I had to pay in cash for air conditioning, heating, and other room-use fees after paying the full accommodation charge. I wish those optional costs hadn’t been added. There were no towels provided, so you have to bring your own or buy them for 800 yen each. With one bathroom and toilet downstairs and just one more toilet upstairs, the facilities didn’t feel like enough for 10 people. The pesticide smell was strong from early morning, so opening the doors was difficult, and there were so many stink bugs. They smelled awful and made me nervous. I guess getting used to country life means dealing with bugs, but this stay has really stuck in my mind.

After a visit to Iwakisan Shrine, I headed south along Apple Road and spotted a stylish building that looked a bit out of place there. We had two coffees, chilled cheesecake, and a little ice cream for 1,500 yen. It seems like a nice spot for a date or a family outing if you want to enjoy a resort-like atmosphere.

The view was so nice that I found myself wanting to stay longer. Mt. Iwaki looked beautiful in the good weather, too. We had a plate with tea, rare cheesecake, and vanilla ice cream for dessert, and it was delicious! 😋 I also really enjoyed chatting with the concierge. ❇️✨❇️

The view is lovely, and it’s a relaxing place where you can get away from the everyday. I stopped by for tea this time, but now I’d like to come back for lunch. Be sure to call before you go, because they may not be serving lunch if the place is booked for a private event or guests are staying there.

The coffee was the highlight for me: at 700 yen it’s a little expensive, but you get about one and a half times a normal serving, and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. I went to Agri Inn Holiday today, and the garden and stylish Western-style building made it feel like being overseas. You should try the coffee if you don’t believe me. I’ll get the lunch set next time.
