The beds were like chiseled stone, by far the worst we've had across many hotels in Japan. I know hard beds are common here, but side sleepers from the West may struggle. Also, there's a roughly 9-inch step up into the bathroom, and I banged my toe on it more than once. The staff were friendly, breakfast was decent, and the location is handy for the train, bus, and taxi areas, with lots of food options on foot. They even give you a handful of special coins for a good range of vending machine choices. Still, it was a pleasant place overall.

Right by Hita Station, with a grocery store just around the corner, and free parking on site. There's an in-house onsen too. The rooms are dated but very clean, and the check-in staff were really friendly. Breakfast has a decent selection, though it can get quite crowded.

It's a business hotel right in front of the station, so it's a convenient base for heading elsewhere. Breakfast was quite good too. If you're booking for a family, make sure to get a bigger room.

It's right by Hita Station, clean, and inexpensive, with an onsen as well. The hotel restaurant serves dinner, and you can eat there in your hotel pajamas, which is so easy. There's a washer and dryer in the onsen area, plus you can get a massage in your room. For a stay in Hita or nearby, this is perfect. Two thumbs up from me!

The food was delicious, and there's free coffee in the lobby. It's between the bus center and Hita train station. I'd give it five stars if the public bath were a hot spring.
