I needed somewhere in a hurry after winning tickets to the 2025.12.28 Arima Kinen a few days earlier. Looking at access to the Boso Peninsula, I found an inexpensive twin room here on Rakuten Travel. The building is older, but the price was right and the room felt comfortable. Breakfast starts at 6:00, which worked well for heading out. I toasted bread, made my own drink, and had a tasty plate with fried eggs and sausages the waitress had prepared. The affiliated parking lot is about a five-minute walk away, since there's no underground parking at the hotel. I paid 500 yen in cash. After a great night's sleep, I could relax. The simple washlet was a first for me, and I found it interesting.

The hotel is in a quiet spot, so I slept soundly through the night, even with convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance and Goi Station not far away. I stayed before a golf game. It's a small place, with an elaborate design that brings to mind the bubble economy era, including a glass-enclosed atrium. It has also been well maintained despite its age.

For just one night, the low price and included breakfast were a nice deal. I parked across the street at Mitsui's Repark Goi Chuo 2-chome 2nd, which costs 500 yen for 24 hours. When I mentioned it at the front desk, they gave me a 500 yen parking discount voucher, so I only paid for my accommodation.

The hostess served a special fried egg and sausage at breakfast, but I couldn't figure out where the yolk had gone. I had to toast my own bread and make a sandwich, and it wasn't satisfying. That was basically all there was. The guest rooms are old, and there's a strange switch by the bed I still don't understand. Still, it's cheap, so I can't complain.

Even though only smoking rooms were available when I booked, they switched me to a non-smoking room after I asked in a note. The front desk was very welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. The facilities are a bit dated, but the room was clean and tidy and I slept comfortably.
